License

Although Family Tree PHP is free to download and free to use, all rights are reserved. The publisher remains the owner of the package.

The official license under which you may use Family Tree PHP, can be found in the download file as license.txt. This file contains several statements, including:

• By installing and using this package, the user agrees to the terms of this license.
• The ownership of the package and all it’s copies remains with the publisher.
• The user is allowed:
  • To use the package on his own websites for non-commercial purposes.
  • To make changes to the package and use this changed package on his own websites for non-commercial purposes.
  • To publish instructions how to change the package.
  • To make new templates for the package and publish these templates.
  • To make new language files for the package and publish these language files.
• The user is not allowed:
  • To use the package for any commercial purpose
  • To distribute the package in any way.
  • To distribute a changed version of the package in any way, except templates and language files.
• The user must have a statement on his website that he uses “Family Tree PHP”, with a hyperlink to “http://www.familytreephp.com”, unless the publisher has personally granted him permission to remove this statement.
